What's the Issue?

Art collectors and gallery curators have large collections of which they need to keep proper track and inventory data.

Artists and the like tend to be a bit disorganized, making inventory and collection tracking difficult and scattered.

How Can We Help?

Reach out to our artist, collector, and gallery networks

Interview them about their collection management

Create a list of potential features based on competitors and user pain points, behaviors, needs, and goals

Design high-fidelity mockups for the Content Management System MVP's Dashboard and Collection Tracker

Through our interviews, we found that users need to:

  • Upload images of their pieces to their tracker so they can have visual references.

  • Track previous and current locations and owners of all pieces.

  • Manage their budget for spending and sales, plus record dates of purchases and sales for each piece.

  • Filter through collection data to find specific pieces or artists.

  • Communicate with audiences.

  • Manage their legacy plans for their collection within the system.

User Needs

With a long list of user needs, we listed all possible features, prioritizing each one on three quantitative scales based on UX, tech, and business priorities and capabilities.

Feature List

After prioritizing those features, we ended up with a list of features that will direct our user’s main needs.

Designing the MVP

From our feature prioritization and our design studio, we designed these wireframes to show the main layout of the dashboard and tracker, while addressing the other important features that will be addressed in the next scope.
